As others said, it was hard to separate the paper from the tape. I found I could reliably get it off however using my fingernails. It held a seam in place in a stretchy fabric for me so that I could sew it without the fabric puckering. I am a beginner sewer and was confounded by the issue before this productOnce I could get it apart, it worked great. Held a zipper in place so I could sew it down without pins.I used the tape to hold trim on so I could sew it on.Love the product for zippers , placards but one roll was wound incorrectly exposing the adhesive.I am a very amateur seamstress who mainly hems pants, mends, etc. This has made my sewing life much less frustrating. I first pin my hem until it is the correct length. Then I replace the pins with the tape - press sticky side of tape onto one side of fabric, peel backing off tape, press other side of fabric onto peeled tape, and iron. I find sewing so much easier without having pins in the way (am I the only one that breaks sewing needles on pins?). This tape does not hold fabric long-term, it needs to be sewn , the tape will dissolve in the wash. This product arrived well packaged, on time and was exactly what I ordered. I have not yet used it myself, but purchased it based on the recommendation of a seamstress I respect. She claims it works great for applying zippers exactly where you want them and the glue does not gum up the needle on a sewing machine.I had cut out a pile of pieces for a Winding Ways quilt. I have sewn curved pieces before, but was having a bit of difficulty. I saw the tutorial on Wonder Tape and ordered some. The block I did today using Wonder Tape came out splendidly. I now look forward to sewing a lot more Winding Ways blocks using Wonder Tape.(I know it is not perfect, but neither am I !! lol)After unrolling, the adhesion to the fabric is not very secure. It is very hard to separate the backing layer from the outer sticky side without unsticking the whole thing.I did love this, used it for a very delicate, hand sewn lace hem and it made everything so nice and easy, but ( curious beast that I am) even though the hem looked absolutely fine, I did wonder about the 'washaway' claim. SO, I rinsed the finished item a few times in room temperature water. I do seem to still be able to glimpse that tape back there.Maybe it's me, I mean, it is so thin anyway, see through too, only barely visible and maybe using detergent completely dissolves it.Either way, it's the best, made the job a heck of a lot easier, the hem looks great, I'm giving this the thumbs up and full five stars.I’d give it zero stars if I could. It doesn’t stick to normal quilting cotton at all yet it doesn’t come off the backing tape either. Will have see if another brand does better.Although it took a long time to arrive ,this is a clever product. I used it to place a ribbon trim on a skirt ,faux panels, and it was so much easier than matching up the tailor tacks .Next plan is to use as a stabiliser for hem on lace.Fiddley to use but does the job when stitching stretch knits that are a little thin and do not stich well with twin needles.Great value & prompt delivery
