item does run small; the 3XL fits me exactly as I'd expect a 2XL to, including sleeve length and where the hem falls. that's fine for me bc I was going back and forth on whether to order a 2XL or 3XL and am happy with the fit. it's a slim straight fit, quite stretchy fabric that falls comfortably between lightweight for a sweater and heavyweight for a cotton shirt. other customers noted lack of durability; this doesn't surprise me, it's a very thin cotton yarn that has been acid washed, ofc it's gonna be a little fragile. it's fine. the color is very nice, I love the depth that's added to the basket weave stitch by the acid wash. it's comfortable to wear as a shirt, not too warm, great feel on the skin. I do personally feel it's a bit pricey for what it is, especially considering that using nicer material makes it less durable, but honestly I'm willing to pay a little extra to avoid acrylic and polyester. I do kind of wish it had a kangaroo pocket tbh, but I'm not sure the garment could actually support the weight of things in a pocket, so that's fine. overall very nice quality, extremely satisfied. do beware! as Amazon is wont to do, I'm pretty sure I was sold a used item advertised as new. I at first misclicked and ordered an M by mistake apparently, and it arrived in a branded ziplock envelope, with tissue paper crinkling inside. when the 3XL I actually wanted arrived, it was in one of those plain cellophane envelopes with green text printed on it they process whole foods & other returns in, and no tissue. so watch out for that.
