Paid: ~$14Version: cream, xlTLDR: great purchaseI live in Dallas, TX where winter is mostly 45-65 highs but we get a few weeks that are miserable in the 30s, and hot summers with cold offices (I also fluctuate easily between too hot and too cold due to medications and weight ) therefore it doesn’t make sense to me to purchase thicker fabrics (read winter apparel) when I can just layer to better regulate my comfort. I ran across this item the week before I knew we were headed into inclement weather, the price point was right and I knew it would be cute with a structured, collared shirt underneath for work (business casual) or as-is for social events. I normally wouldn’t consider a sweatshirt because they look cheap and sloppy, but the fabric and cut didn’t appear to be like a Fruit of the Loom styled sweatshirt, the cream is “classier” than a standard white, and I’ve been really embracing fashion casual looks lately (fashion sneaks instead of flats, etc) for its versatility and comfort.I was nervous about 1) the mild fray texture however, it gives a nice element (read, not boring) and is finished in a way that it won’t continue to unravel. Does not look sloppy2) size, I normally grab an xxl to be on the “safe side” however, this is a nice “structured”-ish shape on me and is probably what keeps it from looking too casual for the office3) fabric not breathing well. Typically cheaper price point clothing is made with a lot of synthetic fibers that just hold my body heat in and can easily make me feel very clammy. This fabric was perfect. A nice medium weight/thickness. Doesn’t wrinkle easily. Didn’t shrink in wash/dry (which was great considering point above)I think I wore it twice that next week and again the week after. One of my new fav staples.
