I've been using this brand for many years. It keeps the elastic knit strong and functional for years not months. It was reccommended by a medical professional as normal "gentle" detergents will cause the elastic knit to deteriorate quickly, the cost of medical grade stockings is so high, that the cost of this product which is very very high, is worth it to extend the life of compression stocking ! You don't need much, a capful to hand wash in a kitchen sink is perfect. Make sure you use very hot water and rinse well(at least 3 times) roll in towel to remove extra moisture and hang inside to dry.
